your premise is correct. He hasn't stuck around long enough at UT or Cal (yet) to prove that he can really win something that matters.
His teams are good, and they have an identity. Have we see his ceiling already (Sweet 16)? Or does he have the potential to compete for conference championships? I just don't think he's been at one P5 school long enough to prove that. In my mind, that moves him below a lot of other proven candidates.
