Mark Stoops at Kentucky is an excellent example of what a good recruiter can do at even the worst of football programs. If he were at Missouri, I have no doubt he'd be pulling in top 20 classes consistently.
Unfortunately, we have never hired good recruiters. Instead, we've put an emphasis on hiring "True Sons" like Barry Odom and Kim Anderson, despite being egregiously unqualified, inexperienced at the D-1 level, and unable to recruit at the national level.
