Women's BB on to Vandy for a Sunday game...

as the season and a remote chance to make the NCAA tournament starts to slip away from them.
Don't be fooled by Vanderbilts 10-7 record, 6 straight losses, and 0-4 record in the SEC. They are not that bad. They somehow beat #12 Duke earlier in the year, and also lost to #9 Louiville by a respectable score. Yes, they can be awful away from home at times, losing by 33 points at unranked Indiana and losing by 16 to an awful Memphis team (8-8, RPI #208). But we are playing them in Nashville.
Yes, they are 0-4 in the SEC so far but have lost mostly close games to decent teams, losing to Tennessee and Auburn at home, and to TAMU and Georgia on the road by 5 and 2 points. TAMU was good enough to win @UT, and Georgia just played #5 South Carolina down to the wire last night on the road, losing 66-63 (although SC was missing their AA Aja Wilson who sprained an ankle at Florida).
So Vandy clearly has the talent to beat us on Sunday. It will depend of course on who shows up for Mizzou. Will Cierra Porter break out of her perplexing funk and give us her previously reliable 15 and 10? Will a now apparently healthy Sophie C. continue to be aggressive on offense (and a little more selfish, which is needed) and go off for the 20-30 points she is capable of in any game? Will the good Michaelis or the bad one show up? Never seen a better and more streaky shooter. She poured in 11 straight points in a 3 minute span of the 2nd quarter last night, and was basically invisible the other 37 minutes of the game. And will Mizzou continue to throw the ball away and ring up another 15-20 turnovers? Actually I'd take 20 right now, after the 27 against LSU.
It's just hard to predict any more what you are going to see from this team from one game to the next.
