into a winning team, magically. Only a moron would think that.

The point is to get rid of an awful coach and tell him he won't be allowed to drag this once proud program any deeper into whatever he has made it into.

This is not that complicated. It happens a lot in college sports. When a coach utterly fails at what he was hired to do, you get rid of him and you try again.
