as I thought he was clearly the best option at the time.
It really shocked me how many people here truly believed that Odom was the better choice.
I think Mack Rhoades might have left because his hands were tied by our administration and/or boosters who have this strange obsession with hiring "True Sons", and they basically told Rhoades that he needed to promote Odom instead of hiring someone from outside the program. At that point, Rhoades realized he would not be able to implement his vision here, because Mizzou... well, is gonna be Mizzou.
