Alden most certainly did that with Kim, but the Odom hire wasn't a total head scratcher. Odom was a defensive coordinator on the rise, and he was certainly being looked at by his peers as such. He's also very organized, very motivated, works hard, college kids will play hard for him, and he seems to understand college kids.
