Here is the Mizzou VB RPI situation as I see it...

There is a real potential to move up when the new rankings come out tomorrow. Whether that actually happens, I don't know. I dont know what the teams immediately in front of us did this week and am too lazy to look it up tonight.

But there is potential to move up, because the 8 teams with RPI ranks from 8-15 are bunched up really closely with their RPI numbers. We are currently #14, barely ahead of #15 Michigan, and barely behind #13 Washington. UW is very close to #12 UCLA, who is very close to #11 Michigan State. Who is in a virtual tie with #10 Kansas. The gap between #14 and #8 is .926, which is not a lot. Expect to see some shuffling between the #8 and #15 teams in the RPI tomorrow.

Mizzou will improve its raw RPI number after going 2-0 this week, and absorbing the RPI rich Florida numbers into our score. Auburn didn't help us but will be more than offset by playing Florida. How much we rise will depend on how much the teams in front of us increase or decrease their RPI numbers. But we at least have the potential to go from #14 up to the 10-12 range.
