CVL passed up several open looks that I think he should have pulled the trigger on. He is a solid presence on the court for the team. Very mentally mature player for a sophomore.
Turnovers were low, assists were high. Hughes and Jackson are a higher caliber of athlete than we have had the past two seasons.
Puryear seems to be pushing himself a bit on offense. He needs to get more comfortable within the limits of his game. He's in great shape, but not an above the rim type player. Would like to see him get more jump shots.
I hate to say it, but I don't think Walton is getting it mentally. Maybe he's having off the court problems, idk. But he's not in the flow with the team. He's doing his own thing, and doing it poorly
