Williams. Others, a lot of whom supported Odom, thought differently. People cited his lack of experience at the college level.
Once Odom was hired, I jumped on board, even though I had my doubts. I saw the players reactions, and I saw the good work during a difficult off season, where he brought in players to fill key roles.
I think there is no doubt the approach to D was an unmitigated disaster, and there is some serious questions about Cross at this point, because he was in charge of the D. Odom takes the brunt of the blame, as head coach. Not sure what to make of Cross at this point, but didn't like hearing rumors that he was aloof towards the players.
Odom is the head coach. I will continue to support him throughout the season. I expect he will be the coach next season as well. I don't think it's realistic to expect a change at head coach. He did walk into an extremely bad situation, worse than most realized, I think.
Hopefully we beat Vandy and get some confidence and have made the adjustments on D that will give us a chance to win our remaining games. Yes we've had some attrition on the D side, but you still have to tackle the man, instead of using your arms as swinging gates.
Lock is still very inexperienced, and not surrounded by great talent. It's too much to put it all on him. The calls are made by the coaches, and if they only give him one side of the field, then you have to accept it and move on. I'd like to see him get some professional training, maybe from Chase D. or Bad Brad Smith, on how to be a college QB, and what is required to be a winner.
I will continue to support the team, so even if I have a panic attack, it will pass.
Go Tigers!!!
Go Coach Odom!!!
