One problem is athlete who accept scholarships with no intention of being a student.
Another is fans who view college athletics as a semi-pro league - like those with an "if you're not cheating, you're not trying" attitude.
Simmons was eligible for the 2015 NBA draft - UNTIL he came to the U.S. Which he did for the sole purpose of playing in the NCAA, because of the marketing he'd gain. Then wasn't a student, and complained about not getting paid. It's ludicrous.
What I want is teams of student-athletes competing, I'm not interested in NBA D-league teams wearing college uniforms.
