First of all, it's f*cking Temple, one of the worst FB programs in the country and damn near impossible to win there.

Second, Rhule didn't inherit the kind of defense that Odom inherited, nor did he have the same kind of resources available to him.

Third, and unlike Odom's team this year, Rhule's Temple improved with each game as the season progressed. They started out losing their first 6 games, a dreadful 0-6. Then this is what happened in their final 6 games:

vs Army........ W 33–14 (19-point win)
@ SMU......... L 49-59 (close loss)
@ Rutgers..... L 20-23 (one-possession loss)
vs UCF (#15)... L 36-39 (one-possession loss)
vs UConn....... L 21-28 (one-possession loss)
@ Memphis..... W 41-21 (20-point win)

So, he was able to go 2-4 in his final 6 games with all 4 losses being close hard-fought games that came down to the wire, and ended up the season on a high note. And he did this at F*CKING TEMPLE.
