Still a lot of matches to be played, but it's looking pretty clear how the conference race will end up, due to the huge gap between the top 4 teams, Florida, Kentucky, Mizzou, and TAMU, and everyone else. Alabama is the one exception, they have talent and play like a top 25 team at home, but are very ordinary on the road. They get the 4 top teams all at home this year, barely beat TAMU 3-2, barely lost to Mizzou 3-2, but got swept by Florida 3-0. They play Kentucky at home Sunday, in one of the few games left that will be critical in the final standings.
Those top 4 teams, IMO,will not lose to anyone in the SEC other than each other, with the road games at Alabama the exception. And so far they are all 1-1 against each other.
Mizzou, Kentucky, and Florida have 1 loss each, TAMU has 2.
TAMU will finish the conference season 15-3. Their only tough match is @Kentucky, which they will lose.
Florida wil finish either 17-1 or 16-2, depending on the outcome of their match @Mizzou. They won't finish any worse than 16-2.
Kentucky will also finish either 17-1 or 16-2, depending on the outcome of their match Sunday @Alabama. I think they have more of a chance of losing that match than they do losing at home against us. They will beat both Mizzou and TAMU at home.
Mizzou will finish either 16-2 or 15-3 in a tie for 3rd with TAMU, depending on our match at home against Florida. If we somehow find a way to beat the Gators, with or without Melanie Crow, we will finish no worse than tied for 2nd with Florida, and maybe even in a 3 way tie for 1st place with Florida and Kentucky @16-2. But we need Alabama to knock off Kentucky tomorrow in Tuscaloosa.
