They were 8-11 overall, 2-9 in the BIG, which is not a great soccer conference by any means, and lost 10 of their last 12 games, against an unremarkable schedule. Their current RPI is 119. It was a bad loss for us, but at least it was at the start of the season where those things can happen.

Hey, Mizzou is what it is. A good team, not a great team. Our best win all year was against Colorado, which has an RPI of 33 this week. We had 4 shots against top 25 teams, and lost all 4 matches 1-0. Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida, and Arkansas are all really good teams, with poll rankings/RPIs of 12/11, 13/14, 17/13, 13/18, respectively. We fell just short against each one. I think that indicates we are close to being a very good team, a top 25 team. But as you and others have said, we just don't have enough great players, are lacking in quality defenders, and can't generate offense against top 25 caliber teams. Having another 3 or 4 Sarah Luebberts would help too.

We will make the NCAA tournament, maybe upset a team in the first round, but will go no further than that IMO.

Oh, and we couldn't have gotten a worse draw in the SEC tournament, seeded #5 and facing #4 seed Florida (again), with the winner getting #1 seed South Carolina. At least we will get a 5th chance to get a signature, quality win against a top 25 team when we face the Gators again next Wednesday.
