in defiensive as he got comfortable at the big league level.

Pham is also an above average outfielder.

Carpenter will continue to be more than average at first.

It was a matter of a lot a player having to play sometimes out of position & also the ever changing lineups due to injuries, as all teams have but the Cardinals had more than most this past season, & Matheny's constant tinkering.

Oquendo will help matters greatly as well, including some of that tinkering (as in less of it). "Tweaking" was pretty accurate & FA will be interesting as always.

Please, I don't need to here crap about the Royals. They're irrelevant. Hardly ever give them a thought. No need to try to bring the Adult Softball League into it.
