I'm just having trouble figuring out...

how good this Mizzou team is and if they can really crack the top 2 in the SEC and do any damage in the NCAA tourney.
In the SEC Florida is a legit top 10 team, and TAMU a top 20 team. After that no SEC team is ranked or even getting votes in the poll. Kentucky is typically one of the next best, as is Mizzou. The only really impressive outing so far was a 3-0 loss to a top 15 BYU team where we should have won the first 2 sets. The home losses to unranked Utah and Miami Ohio were very disappointing, especially coughing up a 2-0 lead to Utah.
The good start in the SEC comes against nothing even close to a ranked team. The next two matches we should win easily even though they are on the road, against Arky and LSU. Ole Miss gave us everything we could handle yesterday at home, and could have easily beaten us. As a measuring stick with the only elite teams in the conference, Ole Miss just lost to #6 Florida at home, taking the first set and then getting blown out in the last 3 sets. We get Florida at home later and TAMU on the road for our biggest tests.
Kan, Crow, and Larson can play for anyone, and Eckenrode is shining as the lone setter in the new 5-1. On paper we should finish 3rd in the SEC, and make the NCAA tourney comfortably. Just think we are a few players short of being a legit top 25 team this year.
