However, the real alarm is how slow the economy is growing. If we were expanding at 3%, government would be booming (in revenues, not expenses). But this administration has thrown way too much money away with regulations, in every industry across the board, and the yet Fed is puzzled year after year why business spending is so weak.

If we could get to 2.5% it would do wonders, but we can even get over 2%.

Over regulation really has 3 costs: 1) the direct cost to comply, 2) the opportunity cost of where those dollars would have otherwise been deployed, and 3) the future expectation of higher regulation costs - and greater business risk- which causes an increase in savings, hoarding cash.
