implies a calculated intent to deceive.
(And even the FIB can't prove intent.)
I see him as ideologically rigid and woefully uninformed. A dangerous combination, one usually found in millennials and fools.
I think he wants desperately to believe in what he believes. He impresses me as passionate but ignorant. As facts come out that show his position is untenable, he either changes the facts or "clarifies" his position.
His refusal to accept data in opposition to his ideology is immature and obstinate, but i don't think that from a morality standpoint he is a liar.
