Its dismal to admit, but the window of potential opportunity for this staff is closed. There was a small chance depending on how last year went they could recover from being so ill prepared and all the mistakes and disasters of their first season had they shown something. But instead it went terribly, and they lost too many assets and too much momentum. They just aren't in a recoverable position now given their skill set and limitations.
2015-16 was a crucial year, it just didn't work. The remaining tasks are to try and slow the fan apathy, keep players out of trouble off the court and in good academic standing, and try and slow the historic levels of attrition. If they can show some aptitude and create some cohesiveness and effort in terms of the on the court product I think that can be considered an unexpected bonus. And hopefully they don't sign any more players.
