CFB cancelled all games after the 9/11 attack on the WTC amid security concerns, national mourning, etc. People in Columbia were genuinely concerned that Memorial Stadium was especially vulnerable because of the proximity to the UM Reactor. I think it was that first season that MU sent out 10 players to attempt a 2-point conversion and Pinkel refused to admit it was a mistake because "they should have executed anyway". I could be getting my debacles confused.
