If I'm able. If our receivers don't get open, then it will require Lock to hold the ball for longer routes to get open. That means our line will have to hold.
An effective running game makes all of this easier to execute. If WV has to key on the run and we can still get yards, it will be a long day for their defense and passing routes will start to pop open.
Creative play calling will be essential. If we're very predictable, it puts the pressure right back on our offensive line.
It's always about execution, but the margin for error is thinner to me because of our line. Now if our line is mean, nasty and effective against WV (which I expect to some degree) then it will be okay.
That Black has not established himself as a clear number one is a good thing. It tells me we have guys in the slot who can get open and catch the ball. The tight end will be important, and I would love to see some dump-offs and screens to the running backs when downfield receivers aren't open.
