It's not like Washington turned a bunch of scrubs into elite players. A lot of coaches (most?) would've had success with those five.

I agree that Washington takes more heat from fans (myself included) than he likely deserves. His track record pre-Mizzou speaks for itself. But he didn't seem to be making much of an impact with the young players, and he didn't seem to be all that effective as a recruiter (a selling point when he was hired). I'm happy to have Hill back at that spot.
