A group of us made a party at the American Embassy in Paris. As we waited in line we struck up a conversation with a young Marine guard. He was 18, two weeks from returning to the States for thirty days, then Nam. He proudly told us he was "going to kick Charlie's a_s". As we moved out of his hearing, one the guys in our group, he had been a medic-vac chopper pilot in Nam, said to me "he's gonna learn that Charlie is pretty d__n good".

As I read the board, I can't help but think that young marine would fit right in and like him, some of u are going to learn that the other guy is pretty d__n good.
