RE: I truly have no idea what to think of this team

I have to agree with you. I hope that we all are smoking the right kind of what-ever!
But I can't see past the facts here. 1. We have no real good information on our 2016 team. 2. Last year's offense was not very good. 3. This year's offense is a total unknown with brand new players all over the place with a brand new HC, brand new OC, brand new DC. This wouldn't be a given if these guys were mostly returning starters. 4. We had a good defense last year. 5. One of those good starters got the boot in the caboose. 6. We have 3 guys trying to take his spot and one is a walk on who we know little about except that he went to a D2 school last year and didn't play much. So, what does that mean. Maryville coaches know nothing about defense or defensive ends or we have 2 guys fighting with him for the job and one of them did nothing to speak of last year. The other was a JUCO that everyone thought was a stud, but he couldn't win the job from that freshman last year. 1/2 of our secondary will be new. 7. Our best defensive player, a tackling machine, graduated so he would be around either.
Everything we are hoping for is exactly that! Hope! And lastly, 8. We have no reports from observable information that tells us that the information we have gotten is accurate. And that info is our offense looks good against our defense that is just a stud!
I have to wait, hope and see what we might have.
