Being a highly-touted, 4-star or better in state QB. Expectations are sky-high, perhaps too high. I wonder what Gabbert would have done had Chase been hurt for an extended period of time in 2010.

I'm not sure how it is at other schools, but it seems like the 3-star, lower-ranked QB's here have gotten more of a benefit of the doubt than Gabbert, Franklin, and now Lock.
