know a kid that helps out with equipment that had his dad there, but he said they are definitely keeping everything quiet. Makes sense more this year than most. New coach, new coordinators, and a first OOC game against a quality opponent. WV will be preparing basically blind other than going off tendancies of coaches and coordinators in the past, and Heupel has been known to use 2 QB systems. Makes no sense to give them info via open scrimmages, even if it would be minimal.
Past seasons with Pinkel we had very low staff turnover and started with cupcakes. By the time the real bullets typically started flying, opponents would have seen you in several games so scrimmages being open really didn't make a difference. Zanders playing could be a good thing if it is a good enough package to make teams prep for it every week. After last years offense, anything sounds promising.
