2007 - We play them down there. Drive up and down the field on them. Have more yards, more first downs, time of possession, everything. We are leading with under 10 to go I think when PIg Brown dropped a sure interception. He picks that off, no doubt in my mind, we win that game. Instead, the drive keeps going and they score. Next play from scrimmage, Daniel throws a Pick and all of a sudden it's a two-score game. Afterwards, listening to Stoops version, he acted like they blew us out when they were lucky to escape with their lives. Same exact thing happened in the Big 12 championship game almost to the sequence. If we had Chase Coffman in that game, I am convinced we would have won that night. We were better than them that year. And again, Stoops acted like a classless plick, basically saying we did not belong on the same field.
Several years later, we played the in Columbia when they were No. 1. Big Game defers to the second half and we return the opening kickoff for a score. We go on to win pretty easily. In one of the least classiest things I have seen in 45 years of watching football, we are up by 9 with eight seconds left and they are on their own 20. Fans are going crazy and ready to storm the field. So what does he do? Uses his last time out just to try and screw with the students.
He is a complete and utter plickhead.
