Devine when he left after a successful tenure at Mizzou and we replaced him with our DC Al Onofrio and Pinkel being replaced by his DC Barry Odom.
IMHO there are more differences than similarities. True both situations, today & in 1971 are marked by inexperienced Olines and very efficient defenses. But Drew Lock is no John Venturi a gutsy guy who was about 5'8"" tall back in '71 with no starting experience.
Odom went out and got a couple of key guys on offense it seems in Chris Black & Alex Ross. At least we think they're key, he's keeping things pretty locked down right now. Our staff is top flight and bottom line I can't see us stinking it up this year. How many we win - who knows.
