Maybe the staff had higher grades on the other commits.
As we know, diamonds do slip through the cracks all the time. Maybe this was one.
But, every single one of our OL commits from that class is or would be 2nd string (Holmes is not due to injury). Which means they're one step away from starting if the guy ahead of them gets hurt. So maybe we got guys we wanted, too.
FYI, for the class of 2017 so far, we've got another 4 OL committed.
