Who would add basically nothing with regard to bench strategy or development of players. His only role, as I saw it was as a slightly more qualified "street recruiter" who would bring in kids from St. Louis or at least connect with other AAU coaches. He did none of that at Mizzou, though it appears Travis Ford will use him in exactly that capacity at SLU with good results so far. It was a very odd hire for Mizzou in that we are not really looking for the higher level guys with whom he has ties, but rather "good fits" to the new system. It has not been explained why his wife and children were unable to relocate to Columbia given his quadruple salary but I sense he thought he could do better work with Travis Ford currently.
