But, my reaction when he was hired was euphoric given his stature in the state, his natural recruiting ties (Chicago, StL, TX), and how much the university/Whitman invested into Illini FB. An absolute home run hire to me.

Four years from now? I think Illinois will have a few bowl games and consistent at 6-9 wins while being competitive in games. tOSU and Michigan and MSU are just in another class just like a few of those SEC West teams. I don't tend to overestimate or underestimate with him.
