there was always the faithful 35,000 to 40,000. Even in the terrible days of Stull and Widenhofer. I remember going to the SMU game after 73-0 in College Station and there was about 40,000 people there. I was shocked.

Basketball doesn't have that base of even 7,000 to 8,000 that go to every game.
