Yet still attack me. Please read the post again that you attacked me about and then respond.
Regarding your points in this post: I don't believe there is any possibility that OU and Okie St. as a package would be asked to join. It would cost the conference a lot of money. The additions of Missouri and A&M were a clear signal regarding the conference's views on demographics and new members. Further, the SEC is trying to upgrade its reputation in academics and Oklahoma State would be problematic. The notion that OU could decouple from Okie State is a possibility, but that's a political hurdle within the state. It's certainly within the realm of possibility, but in my opinion very unlikely.
From what I've read, Oklahoma has already tried to leave the conference, but has been rebuffed.
Last, I think there's just enough arrogance at Oklahoma to think they can still make the Big 12 work, and they could be right. But in that regard, Texas is still the biggest hurdle to making it happen. I have lots of friends who are fans of Big 12 schools. Adding the right members now would create permanent stability, and end Oklshoma's desire to leAve.
