like this one from getting buried through collusion of The Plaza Merchant's Association and the new media.
We used to attend roll call and be read suspect descriptions from armed robberies on The Plaza that would be sent to departments via computer messages for metro-wide distribution. None of those armed robberies ever made it into the news.
Social media means they can no longer hide the stories.
