By my reckoning, unless he was physically FORCED to support her, he made the conscious choice to do so.
Of course what you meant was that wanted to support Hillary because he felt that was the best choice for him under the circumstances... and maybe "they" were threatening him with adverse consequences if he didn't.
That is probably true, and I would throw in that they may well have thrown in some carrots to induce him to do so along with any "sticks" they may have been threatening him with.
Exactly what sticks and/or carrots they may have used to get him to choose to endorse the Wall Street, war mongering, self-serving crooked Hillary would be speculation, but the bottom line is that, for whatever reason, he sold out and chose to endorse her, and admonished his followers to vote for her.
