And the Republican Party will wish it was that way.
Political parties use to always be run from the backend smoke filled rooms by the party bosses.
That changed @ 1972 when primaries became the driving factor in deciding. That got the Dems George McGovern.
Since then, there have always had a means to push the direction, mainly thru super delegates.
But they are not always able to push the agenda. Obama was not their candidate in 2008, but won them over.
Bernie has never been a Democrat. He's not going to win allies over for that reason alone.
But the Republicans are more democratic which has gotten them their George McGovern. LOL
