priced high to be discounted in phony sales. You did a good job in noticing that Skechers are usually on sale.
A lot of the sensation of comfort is based on the lasts, or forms, that are used in the manufacturing process. The lasts that the manufacturers of Skechers use probably closely conform to your foot. It certainly has nothing to do with the quality of the material in Skechers...they use very low grade "split" leather that has been split too many times....not appropriate to provide the support needed in boots that would be used for work or outdoors. I've even seen cardboard shanks used in Skechers, when more reputable brands use plastic, vulcanized rubber, or steel.
