he was a throw in from another trade that blossomed into a lights out closer, there are reasons to believe he won't ever be that again.

Yes his ERA is like 1 and opponents are hitting .170 or something silly against him this year but he hasn't been the same pitcher as the last two seasons, he is getting older and he is probably nearly his decline and declines in closers isn't like declines elsewhere on the field.
