KC: +83, 3rd in AL. The 2 teams they beat in the playoffs were 1 and 2.

Mets: +70, 5th in NL and only a few runs from 8th.

Toronto was the only team better than +100 who did anything at all in the playoffs. This is just one year, but it wouldn't surprise me if this was common.
