and you listed 15ish, many of which were filled under circumstances I outlined. So, less than a fourth of them went from a coordinator/position coach to a head coach, and almost all of them were either internal or from program's with a very high level of sustained success. When you bring in the concept of past coaches that have done it, you have to bring in the other numbers with it. I don't think it's going to change the percentages much, if at all.
I'm not sure why you're taking what I said so literally and in absolutes. Could he get a P4 job from where he is? Sure. Is it likely? Absolutely not, the numbers and context show that.
If I said "The Carolina Panthers aren't winning the Super Bowl this year", would you disagree with that statement, even though it is technically possible?
