Biden's team truly sees where they are with the election coming. I thought if they were confident, they do what Clinton did in 1996 with the "era of big government is over" SOTU where your reached outside of your base to voters you need to draw in order to win. That did not happen. Instead, this was red meat to try and fire up his base, and I think he totally alienated the independents he is going to need. It was loud, angry, liberal, and unappealing to anyone not in lockstep already.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
