you are correct. It makes sense. There are always nuances you don't think about. One thing that always bugged me was Reggie Bush fumbling the ball out of bounds to stop the clock when USC was out of timeouts before the "Bush Push". Not an ND fan but that seems like an unfair rule. The clock should run.
