Recruit elite high school players or transfers that have shown they can play at the college level.

Most high school recruits ranked below about 50 are more theoretical talents. Most take time to develop. With the transfer rules in place now there is a high percentage chance that guys not getting significant minutes as freshmen transfer before they are ready to contribute.

It can be better to let someone else weed them out and only recruit those that have shown against college competition that they can play.
