I've gone back and reread it several times over the years.

That first season really none of it was Kim's fault. He was just completely incompetant and put in a role he couldn't possibly succeed. I don't think its fair at all to blame him for his obvious ineptitude, it was foolish to ask him to try and run a D1 program.

It became his fault after the first season, when he knew conclusively he couldn't do the job but spent two more years blaming others and driving the program into the ground. If he would have stepped away after year one I don't think he would deserve any blame or animosity. It was year two and three were MU basketball was ruined into an irrecoverable state.
