Big game coming up Monday with #17 Georgia...

I like where we are positioned now for a run at an at large bid and decent seed line. Our NET ranking is stuck in the mid 40s the last few weeks give or take, as low as 48 I think and as high as 42. I’m not so worried about that, the NET is not a power ranking, but rather a guide to help the selection committee sort teams, along with other variables.
But it’s time to start racking up some wins that will get the committees attention, and there’s no better place to start that than Georgia at home Monday night. It would be a significant signature win, after the monster win over #1 SC and the close road losses at LSU and Baylor.
We have 12 games left, and 9 of them are against teams currently projected to make the NCAA field, with 6 of those 9 games at home: @Tennessee, Georgia home and home, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arky, TAMU, and Miss St home and home. We need to go at least 5-4 in those 9 games, preferably 6-3, if we do that, we make the tourney comfortably. The big prizes of course are Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia, they will give us the most cred with the committee. Ole Miss would be nice too. So, plenty of opportunities. Will we take advantage of that?
A successful run also means taking care of business on the road against Vandy, Florida and Alabama, none of whom are projected to make the tournament. Bama will be the toughest of those 3. Winning on the road in the SEC is really tough, but we have to go at least 2-1 in those road contests, 3-0 would be preferable.
Really looking forward to the rest of the season with this team.
