I thought that was a little strange too...

when I saw it listed that way in the game play by play.
I guess I can see the logic in that she had ‘possession’ of the ball and was attempting the free throw, and committed a lane violation that negated even her attempt, and gave the opponent the ball instead of being allowed the free throw. Don’t think her missed free throw was counted in the official box score.
You certainly don’t see that often, the free throw shooter committing a lane violation.
Darn she played tough last night against a great team on the road. I’m pretty certain by seasons end she will be considered one of the 25 best players in the country and will be 1st team all SEC, even though there are a lot of players deserving of that honor this year.
