If you are a good program with a good staff, you are going to have people coming after your staff and offering them promotions to leave. If coaches are leaving for lateral moves, your program has a problem. Good teams with outstanding staffs have this happen all the time. Pinkel was unique in how he kept his staff together, but that began to change his last few years.
Does it stink to lose good ones? Sure. But look at all the coordinators Saban has had to replace in the past 5 years alone. It's a good sign for a program when teams are sniffing after your staff. I would rather have this problem than has a group of coaches no one even thinks about taking.
