If I come out of a timeout with the ball under the basket, toss it into the backcourt for my pg to retrieve it, then ultimately end up scoring on the subsequent possession that doesn't mean I had a good dead ball approach or execution. Or if I design a great play that results in a perfect look but the shot is not executed that doesn't mean a poor dead ball situation. The fact that its pretty simple is indicative of it not being sophisticated enough to measure the topic effectively.
I don't want to see the stats or search for them, as I said I don't think they would be particularly valuable at measuring it and in this case I already have a large subset of viewing instances to form an opinion on.
