having a recruiter, I think that is considerably more important. I just think in this case he is excelling at a different job. Being a D2 coach is not the same thing as being a D1 coach, its only a somewhat and loosely transferable skill set. It certainly sets him up for the possibility of being able to make such a transition successfully. I just look at a D2 coach as being in a different line of work than a major D1 program coach and excellence in the former is not really indicative of future job performance at the latter.
