More On Coach EE

Lots of neg's always posted here on coach E and that's fine because that's what TB is for, rendering opinions.
He sure had his well documented flaws and railing on him because of that is fine. But to say he wasn't a very good coach is not accurate. And some post that the only reason we went those three consecutive WCWS is because he lucked into Chelsea Thomas That is also not accurate. Okay, if you want to say that coach Pingeton owed her success to having the Porter sisters and Sophie fall into her lap, I can see that reasoning.
But why did Chelsea come to MU and what were her other offers. Coach E deserves the credit for discovering, recruiting and coaching her. She wasn't his niece. Give him credit.
And she was far from alone as far as being a star on those three WCWS teams. Here's a partial list of some of the really good players on those teams. And why did they come to MU? Coach E is why in most cases.

So dislike him all you want if you please, but I ardently disagree when you claim he wasn't a great softball coach.
Apologies to Davey Dynamite. (Not the first time
