the top recruit in the nation from Crystal City, Missouri in 1961 and had twice been a Parade High School All American. He originally chose Duke, then reconsidered to Princeton even though they were not offering him a scholarship.
He went on to be one of the greatest college players ever and a pretty good NBA player, and is in the Naismith Hall of Fame. That would have been program changing at a very pivotal point in history had MU somehow convinced him to stay in state.
